Dear SCA Residents:
(Taken from Pittsfield Township Update):
Pittsfield Charter Township is taking action to address the continued presence of uncollected waste and recycling carts across the community. Beginning Monday, April 20, the Township has hired a contractor to initiate a township-wide effort to remove remaining carts, with the goal of clearing all carts by May 1.
Township officials recognize and appreciate the patience residents and homeowner’s associations have shown during this transition. At the same time, it is clear that frustrations are rising as conditions persist much longer than anticipated. This action is intended to restore safe and orderly conditions throughout the Township as quickly as possible.
The Township has contracted with Corrigan Moving Systems to carry out the collection and temporary storage of remaining carts.
What residents should expect:
· Crews will work throughout the community beginning April 20, with completion anticipated by May 1, though timing may vary based on field conditions.
· Residents are reminded to leave old carts (Priority Waste, Republic Services, etc.) at the curb visible and unobstructed.
· Residents should now only be using their Stevens Disposal carts for all waste and recycling services.
· Old carts containing refuse may require additional handling and could experience delays in removal.
The Township asks residents for continued patience with staff as call volumes related to this issue remain high. For faster service, residents are encouraged to report rubbish-related concerns online at www.pittsfield-mi.gov/rubbish.
The Township will continue to provide updates as work progresses and appreciates the community’s continued cooperation.

Important Update: Priority Waste will NOT be picking up trash/recycling bins until next week. Please have your “old” bins at the curb Tuesday night, March 31st for pick up on or soon after April 1st. Pittsfield Township has just made us aware of this change. Priority has not shared the order in which bins will be collected so please know it could be a few days before all bins within Pittsfield Twp. have been collected.
All Pittsfield Township residents will have a change in services for Trash/Rubbish/Yard waste pick up from Priority Waste to Stevens Disposal within the next two weeks. For all of Stonebridge Community, Priority Waste will continue providing rubbish and recycling collection through Thursday, March 26, 2026. Priority Waste will return to collect all bins so be sure to leave them out at the curb once your trash is collected.
Residents will begin receiving their new carts from our new service provider, Stevens Disposal, any time between March 16, 2026, and March 31, 2026.
Please note that rubbish, recycling, and yard waste placed in Stevens carts will not be collected until your first scheduled pickup day on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
Given the transition schedule there will be a period during which you have both sets of bins. Please do your best to keep them in your garage according to Stonebridge requirements for all homeowners. We understand this may not be possible for some residents; especially those who are in condominiums.
Please see Pittsfield Township website for updates and additional details:
